How To Join Amistad

Amistad is a member-directed Peer Support and Recovery Center. Membership is free. Membership is open to any adult with a history of mental illness, substance abuse, psychiatric labeling, or some other functional impairment. We do not require any proof. Your own report is all we need.

Stop by Amistad at 66 State Street in Portland. Tell the front desk person you would like to join. He or she will give you a tour of the center, and will give you a simple, one-page application form to fill out. That’s all you need to do.
